Paquimé, in the region of Casas Grandes, Madera, was discovered in the year
1565.
This archaeological site covers an area of 50 hectares, which have still not been totally
explored, and its destruction took place around the year 1340, when the ruins
were burned and then abandoned.
However, the site is still well-worth visiting as its hallmark of splendor still survives to this day.
