To the south of the city,
serving the 3 delagations of Coyoacan, Tlalpan and Xochimilco there is a tram
line which offers a series of 16 stations and 2 terminals. This service is
provided by the local government and is safe, efficient and reliable.
The service runs from the Metro station Taxqueña
to Xochimilco; each journey costs just 2 pesos and tickets are bought from
machines on the station platforms.
Beware: if you are thinking of going to the Xochimilco canals, this option means you would still need to take a taxi!
