Fiestas in the valley of Mexico |
|
 |
On the 12th of December there are festivals held throughout the country for the Virgin of Guadalupe.
The festival celebrated in Mexico City, on this date, is the most important religeous festival of the country.
On this occasion, over 4 million people attend the celebration at 'La Villa' in Mexico City from all over the country.
This is the second most important religeous festival of the world, regarding attendance numbers; only the muslim festival of the 'hajj', celebrated in Mecca, is attended by more pilgrims.
