Lost & Found Offices: Mexico City International Airport

There are two 'lost and found' offices in Terminal 1 of Mexico City's international airport.
For international passengers, the office is on the
first floor: Terminal 1. From the ground floor, take the elevators to
the first floor and turn right, continue along through the fast food
area and the office is facing you just by the turning for the 'Terminal
Terrestre.' The office doors are of engraved glass. Tel.: 2482 2289
For national passengers, the office is on the ground
floor: Terminal 1. Entering the airport at Entrance Gate 1, the office is
in the right-hand corner of the terminal, to the right-hand side of the 'national arrivals' passenger exit.

The lost and found office in Terminal 2 is 'Local - office' TLL-01, Tel.: 2598 7169. The office is open from 9 am to 9 pm (Monday to Friday) and on Sundays from 9 am to 2 pm.

To claim you need the following
documents: an official ID (with photo) and a copy of your boarding pass.
You'll also have to tell them where (you beleive) your luggage was lost
and provide a description of the lugagge and contents thereof.
For individual articles with a value of more than 500 pesos, a receipt is requested.
If luggage is lost in an official taxi or in the immigration / customs area, ask in the relevant offices. The Lost and found office won't receive it
until two weeks later!
The time limit for claiming lost luggage is 2 months.
