The airport lies 18 kms. from the city and offers parking facilties (250 vehicles) and terrestrial transport services.
It has a surface area of approximately 388 hectares; the commercial platform is 16,200 sq. mts. and offers 3 positions and the 2.2 kilometer runway can handle aircraft up to the size of the B-727-200.
As part of the ASA Airport Network improvement project carried out on the operational areas of their airports, ASA recarpeted the runway, taxiways and platforms; the reconstruction of the lateral margins and protective covering, along with the installation of horizontal signalling, all between 2000 and 2005.
Maximum passenger capacity at the airport is 180 per hour; in 2006, the airport received 43,949 passengers and registered 8,211 operations during the same period.

Became part of the ASA Airport Network in 1965 and has a surface area of almost 469 hectares with a commercial platform (15,360 m2) and a general aviation platform (13,500) that offer 3 & 16 positiones, respectively.
The runway length is 2.3 kms. and it was totally rehabilitated in 2000; other notable works carried out at the airport include the incorporation of horizontal signalling for the runway, taxiways and platform in 2005.
Passenger capacity at the International Airport of Matamoros is 200 passengers per hour; in 2006, total passengers nmubers were 52,281 and the number of operations during the same period, were 3,055.
Offers visitors parking facilities (210 vehicles), along with car-rental services and terrestrial transport. |

Since 1972, it has been part of the ASA Airport Network; total surface area is approximately 235 hectares, home to a commercial platform 13,500 sq. mts. that offers 3 positions and a two-kilometer runway.
There are parking facilities (95 vehicles), along with car-rental services and terrestrial transport.
In 2006, the airport served 103,940 passengers and registered 4,663 operations. |
