In 1965, the International Airport of Ciudad Obregon was incorporated into the ASA Airport Network; it offers a platform for commercial aviation of 17,325 sq. mts. with 3 positions. The runway is 2.3 kms. long and 45 meters wide and is able to accept aircraft up to the size of the Boeing 757.
It has a total surface area of approximately 385 hectares and offers parking facilities for up to 80 vehicles. There are also car-rental services and terrestrial transport at the airport.
As part of the work on the ASA Airport Network's operational areas, the runway was remodelled, as well as the taxiways and platforms, among other works, so as to make the installations more secure and efficient.
The airport registered 15,131 operations and received 154,466 passengers in 2006.

The International Airport of Guaymas, 'General Jose M Yanez Airport,' has a surface area of approximately 92 hectares; the commercial aviation platform covers 10,300 sq. mts. and the general aviation platform is 12,000 sq. mts.; they offer 2 & 33 positions, respectively.
Its runway is 2.3 kms in length, making it possible to accept aircraft the size of the B-727-200; the runway, platform and taxiways were recovered in 2005, among other works.
This airport can attend up to 120 passengers per hour and offers parking for up to 54 vehicles, car-rental services and terrestrial transport.
In 2006, the International Airport of Guaymas registered 8,224 operations and passengers attend totalled 38,899 during the same period. |
