The National Airport of Tehuacan has formed part of the Airport Network of Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares (ASA) since 1970. It offers services from 07:00 to 19:00 hours and the largest aircraft it can receive is the ATR-42.

The National Airport of Tehuacan lies just 5 kms. from the center of the city; it has a surface area of 142 hectares and its general aviation platform covers an area of 5,400 m2 and offers 2 positions.
In 2002, the runway - 2 kms. in length - was recarpeted and horizontal signalling was also installed as part of the rehabilitation program carried out on the operational areas of the ASA Airport Network, among other improvement work.
For visiting passengers (3,452 in 2006), there is a parking lot with space for up to 13 vehicles. During the same period, the airport registered 2,660 operations.
