The State of
GUERRERO |
In touristic terms, Guerrero has three main centers. To the left is a photo of Taxco, the capital of the world of silver in Mexico, which, with its cobbled streets, turns out to be quite romantic, apart from good bargain-hunting ground.
Meanwhile, on the coast is the world famous port of Acapulco, considered by many to be the national emblem regarding tourism in Mexico, it was the country's first tourist port.
Ixtapa / Zihuataneco also has its fair share of charm, further north along the coast, this place was actually designed for tourism by the National Tourism Fund (Fonatur).

IXTAPA / ZIHUATANEJO
In reality this is a twin destination on Guerrero's Costa Grande.
Zihuatanejo is the original town which served as the base for the development of Ixtapa, a government project to attract more tourism to the state coast.
Together, these two places offer everything one could want whilst on holiday: diversion and an ideal family spot.
