This airport, together with a further 12, is operated by the airport group Grupo Aeroportuario Centro Norte, a business that during the year 2005 handled a total of 10.5 million passengers.

Of the above total, the International Airport of Chihuahua welcomed 651,345 passengers.

The airport can carry out a total of 40 operations per hour and, in 2006, a cargo terminal was inaugurated.

In 2005, the International Airport of Juarez, "Abraham Gonzáles," was the gateway to the city for 576,519 passengers, according to the operator, Grupo Aeroportuario Centro Norte, S.A. de C.V., which operates a further 12 airports in Mexico.

The airport can handle 30 operations an hour; registered operations for 2005 totalled 17,565.

Given, in part, to its geographical location, this airport has increased passenger flow by 25% over the last decade.
