The International Airport of Campeche, "Alberto Acuña Ongay," is located just 9 kms. from the city; in 2006 it served 76,734 passengers and registered 4,647 operations.
As part of the rehabilitation project carried out on the operational areas of the ASA Airport Network, between 2000 & 2005, new signals were installed for the runway and taxiways in 2000; in 2001/2 the airport's platform was renovated along with the taxiways; in 2003/4 the first and second stages of the extention and remodelling work were carried out on the terminal; the third and final phase completed the work in 2005, among other works.
This airport was incorporated into the ASA Airport Network in 1965. It has a surface area of almost 414 hectares and its commercial platform covers an area of 16,200 m2 and offers three positions. |

The International Airport of Ciudad del Carmen is, believe it or not, just 350 meters from the city. Since 1965, it has been part of the ASA Airport Network, offering services between 07:00 & 19:00 hours; able to receive aircraft the size of the B 727-200.

The International Airport of Cd. del Carmen has a surface area of 192 hectares; its platform for commercial aviation is 10,484 m2 and the general aviation platform is 15,840 m2; they offer three and 16 positions, respectively; the runway is 2.2 kilometers long.
In 2006 the airport attended 491,352 passengers and registered 51,955 operations. There is parking space for 84 vehicles and rental-car services along with terrestrial transport.
