Conchas Chinas and the Southern Zone

Jade coloured mountains that drop to the sea the whole length of the southern coast of Puerto Vallarta. Here you'll find, curled up in the comfort and privacy of many inlets and coves, first-class hotels designed for honeymooning couples or, of course, those who just wish for a romantic vacation that they'll never forget.

Vallarta is a multifacted location that invites the visitor to explore the variety of smaller populations that extend along the shores of the Bay of Banderas, Mexico's largest natural bay.

To the north of the Bay there are several locations that could be described as paradise including Marietas, Punta Mita, the hamlets of San Francisco, Sayulita and Bucerías, all of which are fitted with beaches of soft sands.

Golf

Vallarta is now one of Mexico's principal options for those who enjoy the often referred to as 'high-class' sport of Golf.

Currently, Vallarta offers no less than 7 golf courses with beautiful views of the Bay, lush vegetation and designs that are, without doubt, on a World-Class level; see below for details of location and the designer and par of the courses.

Hotel Zone - Zona Hotelera

The Hotel Zone offers extensive fine-sanded beaches that stretch from the town centre to the Marina, the site of an unending list of water-sport activities, along with a great variety of excellent, quality hotels. Here is the most common place for families who are searching for a little fun, that said, many people arrive here in groups, often attending some convention or other.

Marina Vallarta

Modern and sophisticated, Marina vallarta is a destination in itself. On offer here are a world-class golf course and an exclusive marina full of yachgts and sail boats.

This elegant location offers fisrt-class hotels and an abundance of water-sports activities, as well as tennis and a variety of commercial centres, restaurants and nightlife. Ideal for both families and groups, there's something for every taste.

Nueva Vallarta - New Vallarta

Nuevo Vallarta has become the twin destination for Puerto Vallarta, yet has its own personal charm.

Ultra-modern hotels surround the extensive beaches, offering remote, yet accessible paradises where one can stay and relax, whilst taking a boat trip on the lagoon, sometimes accompanied by dolphins.

The fishing villages of Las Animas, Quimixto, Majahuitas and Yelapa are found along the southern coast of the Bay of Banderas. All of which offer a seductive invitation for boat trips to tropical beaches.

In Vallarta, you'll always find something new to while away your time in some enjoyable form.

Old Vallarta - Viejo Vallarta

This is the Bohemian part of the port and extends along both banks of the River Cuale, full of cobble-stoned streets that whisk the imigination away to some earlier part of time.

This zone reflects the real charm of Vallarta, often frequented by the people who prefer to travel alone and return time and time again to the port with its traditional hotels in the Zona Romántica or the picturesque hotels that cling to the sides of the surrounding hills.
